As a longtime superstar of country music, singer and actor Reba McEntire has inspired some creative tales. But is there any truth to stories she invested in CBD and shared products with Garth Brooks?

In 2020, McEntire told PrideSource she’d just read a story that some people were “up in arms” about. Someone had falsely claimed that she’d purchased a CBD “store or company or something.”
For those who don’t know, CBD is short for cannabidiol. It is one of the “most abundant cannabinoids naturally found in cannabis plants,” according to the Center for Advancing Health.
Unlike THC, CBD is not psychoactive. That means it doesn’t create a high but does provide relief for a variety of ailments like anxiety and inflammation. But all that aside, McEntire said she didn’t invest in the products and she doesn’t know where the story came from.
“Well, I’ve never done that,” she declared. Still, she said that people she knew seemed surprised and a little upset to read it.
“Well, if I did, I did,” she said to that. “But I did not invest in a CBD company.”
According to her, the article in question “named a lot of very famous entertainers” that she “turned on” to CBD, including Garth Brooks. She said of the story, “I don’t see how they get away with it.”
To wrap it up, she laughed and clarified that she had not been sharing CBD gummies with Brooks.

So, McEntire may not be financially invested in CBD. But her name has still been attached to it for some reason.
More recently, a video of the “I’m a Survivor” singer describing the symptoms of COVID-19 was reportedly edited to make it look like she was endorsing CBD. But that was debunked, of course.
Still, even though she’s denied it, the unwanted attachment to CBD seems to be an ongoing thing. But anyone who is interested in legitimate celebrity endorsements for the products can find them in other places.

While investing isn’t something that interests McEntire, other celebrities and stylists have been raving about the benefits of using CBD. It’s supposedly great for easing the pains of fashion.
As revealed by The Hollywood Reporter, celebrity stylists have been stocking up on CBD products for their clients to use during awards season. Stars like Mandy Moore and Michelle Williams apply a cream about a half an hour before they slip their shoes on.
The products come in a variety of forms — from kinds that you ingest to kinds you drop in the bath to kinds you apply topically. Daniel Martin, makeup artist for Meghan Markle, told THR, “You actually feel the immediacy of what it does, especially with the Lord Jones cream for your feet.”
Kim Kardashian is also a fan, saying she uses it to help her fall asleep, among other things. She actually likes the products so much, she threw a CBD-themed baby shower.
So, McEntire didn’t invest in CBD and seemingly hasn’t offered her endorsement to any products. But, interested parties can easily find celebrity recommendations in a few other places.
